Julie Wells / Secretary & Public Officer

Julie Wells

Julie Wells is a founding member of The SHIFT Project, assisting in establishing the Association in 2015. She holds the Board role of Secretary and Public Officer. She is also the founding Director of her own business, Facilitations Pty. Ltd. which specialises in supporting people in reaching their potential.

With 30 years’ experience, both nationally and internationally, Julie is a highly skilled and experienced change agent who is recognised as a specialist in leadership development.

Throughout her career Julie has been actively focused on assisting leaders from a diverse range of industry sectors to improve their personal performance and increase their organisation’s results through providing both individual coaching and group facilitation sessions.

Julie is a clinically registered psychotherapist, running The Somatic Practice in Byron Bay where she sees individuals and couples. She is also an accredited supervisor for coaches and therapists.

Julie’s active involvement in The SHIFT Project starts on the ground level—she runs weekly workshops and facilitates structured group discussions on emotional intelligence, with a particular focus on changing mindsets and overcoming limiting beliefs.

Julie’s vision for SHIFT is to be able to look back in years to come and see a self-sustaining, supportive and empowered community that continues to grow and evolve, largely due to its reciprocal foundations.

“I believe that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to grow and develop in a supportive, nurturing environment and I believe that this is possible through personal transformation work and an empowered mindset.”
