International Womens Day 2020
A FABULOUS LUNCH AT ELEMENTS OF BYRON
The event is the annual fundraiser for The SHIFT Project and is the cornerstone to it’s continued success. This hot ticket luncheon at Elements brings together two hundred like-minded people to celebrate achievements and discuss pathways for a more equal world.
This years theme was #EachforEqual. An equal world is an enabled world. As individuals we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day. So we can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and help create a gender equal world.
This year we held an auction and 3 major raffles with incredible prizes including diamond jewellery, dinner cooked by Masterchef Simon Toohey, Luxury Accommodation at the Northern Beaches and much more.
During the lunch we celebrated the 5th birthday of The SHIFT project and highlighted both the obstacles and successes of this independent charity. A panel discussion chaired by Caroline Glanville Jones, international expert on resilience and transformation, included:
Anne Goslett, The SHIFT Project Founder and Managing Director
Delta Kay, Arakwal Custodian
Mandy Nolan, comedian, journalist, author and local activist
