“It’s a privilege to be involved in SHIFT, a program that is not just crisis intervention, but something that has the potential to really change lives over the long-term.”

CHAIRPERSON – CAITLIN FINE

Caitlin was the Treasurer of The SHIFT Project from 2016 to 2021, overseeing the management and reporting of the organisation’s finances. She stepped down from the official role to mentor our new Treasurer, Jamie-Lea Johnson. Caitlin continues to be a part of the Finance Committee and Marketing Team.

Caitlin has a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in accounting. She brings to the Board more than 6 years experience working for a not-for-profit organisation and 11 years working in finance. Caitlin has moved out of finance and into digital ecommerce where she combines her knowledge of finance and systems to her role as Digital Systems Coordinator.

Caitlin has volunteered for many organisations in both Australia and overseas, actively combining her accounting and business skills with her passion and drive for the community development sector.

Her passion for working with children and women has seen her volunteer in Indonesia with an organisation that helped to get children off the streets.

Caitlin understands that what keeps women in poverty can often be their lack of financial means and independence. She hopes to empower women through facilitating and supporting them to increase their financial skills, knowledge and independence. Caitlin holds a firm belief that through sustainable financial means, one can navigate their way out of poverty, enabling individuals to lead a rich and fulfilling life.
